Beginner Kumihimo (Japanese Braiding)

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION & PICTURES BEING DEVELOPED

Kumihimo is the traditional Japanese technique of braiding strands of silk, ribbon threads, knitting material, etc. to create intricately colored cords. The cords, also called kumihimo, are strong but slender, and have a multitude of uses. Samurai once used kumihimo as laces for their armor the art of Japanese bead braiding and create a beautiful Kumihimo braid made from silk  Kumihimo braids can be created with or without beads.

Students will learn to 

TUTION:  Includes all tools, supplies in addition to a Kumihimo disk, cording and documentation.

SCHEDULE:  3 hours

PICK UP:  SAME DAY
