During this workshop, students learn to create a glass pendant light or custom lamp shade from their choice of glass, using a glass cutter, and a glass grinder with a diamond bit. 

After the glass is fired, they will cut a hole in the center using a drill press with a diamond bit to fit the light fixture provided or their custom fixture.

Depending on the transparency of the glass chosen, the pendant light or shade can be sandblasted to create a frosted look to hide the bulb. 

Hardware for hanging pendant lights is included in the cost of the workshop.  Lamp shades for table lamps can be retrofit for an additional cost.
