BOOK ONE OF OUR MOST POPULAR WORKSHOPS
Glass Lattice Designer Dish or Free Form Design $65
During this workshop, students
learn to cut strips of single-colored, multicolored or patterned glass to compose their dish or freeform design. After fusing
and cooling in a glass kiln heated to 1450-degrees Fahrenheit, the designs are positioned on selected molds and fired again.
Note: Projects available for pickup one week later.
Glass Pendant Light or Lamp Shade $65
During the workshop, students
learn to cut a glass pendant light shade from their choice of glass, using a glass cutter, and glass grinder with a diamond
bit. After the glass is fired, the student will cut a hole in the glass to fit the light fixture using a drill press.
Depending on the glass chosen, the pendant light shade can be sandblasted to create a frosted look. Hardware for the
hanging pendant light is included in the workshop fee.
Note: Student to provide hardware for housing a table top
Sculptural Glass Vase or 2 Glass Votives $55
During each 2 1/2 hour glass-draping workshop, students use
stainless-steel molds to create an original vase. First, they'll study how heat from kiln transforms the glass. Then,
they'll create the essential form by cutting a flat sheet of glass, and use cold-working techniques, such as grinding,
and sanding to shape interesting edges. Finally, heat from a 1350-degree glass kiln will transform the decorative glass sheet
into a one-of-a-kind vase or votive set.
